BLISI Proton Extraction Column

The mechanism is a proton extraction column which will serve as an injector for RFQ – radio frequency Quadrupole of 5 MeV and 352 MHz. AVS has been in charge of the Engineering, manufacturing and integration. The column has been developed for the ESS of Bilbao.
The extraction column system consists of a movable column working in radiation and vacuum environments, with a maximum range of 20mm and a required accuracy of 0.01mm. The minimum distance between the front surface of the plasma electrode and the front surface of the Electrode 2 is variable. Largest dimension is 1,092 (m) > 1 (m).
