The target area for performing the plasma physics experiments at ELI accommodates multiple beams including 10PW beam –the most intense laser beam in the world-. The vacuum chamber has an approximately 45m3 large volume, the largest civilian vacuum chamber for laser plasma research. The instrument is a 4 ton 3 axis machine, one 33m length axis and two 20 cm axes.
