LVVE Large volume vacuum enclosures

AVS has supplied a set of two Large Volume Vacuum Enclosures (LVVE, identified individually as LVVE-A and LVVE-B).

In order to steer and focalize the 10 PW laser beams produced by the ELI-NP laser system, mirrors with dimensions up to 1x0.8x0.2m3 are needed, mounted in micrometric precision positioning systems (translation and rotation).

The mirrors and the positioning system shall work in vacuum, in low vibration and constant temperature conditions, as well as high cleanness.

The LVVE must allow the installation of several mirrors inside, as well as the installation of various experimental equipment.
