PEARL PEARL Detector

This project consisted of the design and development of the detector structure: detectors Scintillator/Fiber optic type, borated polythene detector shielding, and civil engineering, wax tanks, blockhouses, instrument flooring, etc. and adjustable neutron beam defining Jaws for the ISIS Pearl High Pressure Facility.
This device allows adjusting a neutron beam by collimating it with boron carbide blocks and rings. All the developed UHV compatible systems shows the large design, manufacture and development capabilities and experience of AVS in UHV compatible high precision machines. As the UPBL09a tube requires vacuum compatible mechanisms, the listed projects demonstrate the high capabilities in such field for the project.
