Development of End-effector and sample restraint system for Mars Sample Return mission

AVS is working with Airbus Defense and Space (ADS) and UK Space Agency (UKSA) to develop and test in relevant environment an end-effector and sample restraint mechanism for the future Mars Sample Return (MSR) mission Sample Fetching Rover. The end-effector will be mounted in ADS' robotic arm to demonstrate retrieval of samples from Martian soil and placement into the sample restraint mechanism within the context of MSR rover operations.
