ESMACT SMA Actuator

ESMACT project aims to develop a new actuator for HDRMs based on high temperature transition SMA technology.

AVS is developing an actuator for HDRM based on a Cu-Al-Ni SMA with high temperature phase change that allows an extended temperature range of operation. The actuator principle is fully scalable and the planned approach is to develop a complete family of actuators to cover a wide range of preload values.
