MEDA WS Wind Sensors of the MEDA Instrument on board M2020 Rover
2015 - 2021 | ESA - CAB, INTA-CSIC
Flight models of the Mechanism and Structure of the Wind Sensor; MEDA Instrument.
The contribution of AVS to the MEDA Instrument will serve to protect the Wind sensor from the damage during landing at Mars. Three mechanims have been developed: Hold Down Release Mechanism, Deployment Mechanism and Latching Mechanism. Thanks to them and to an optimised protective structure, scientist will get wind measurements at the surface of the red planet with non-precedence resolution.
