Qualification of a Hold Down Release mechanism for space applications.

AVS is developing a HDRM, Hold-Down Release Mechanism, for space applications based on REACT high reliable non-explosive actuator. The objective is to develop and qualify to TRL8 low shock resettable HDRM integrated in real final user space applications.

In this activity the focus is set in scientific apyloads for planetary exploration that usually need extended temperature operation with respect to other space uses.
