Custom precision slits designed and built for SwissFEL (2 units). They feature a 25x25 mm aperture and allow the blades to overlap by 5mm. All motion elements (motors, encoders and limit switches) are placed outside the vacuum chamber, allowing in-situ servicing without breaking vacuum and removing the need for special lubricants. The blades are mounted on cross-roller bearings and operate independently.
