ROAD2DEMO, Advanced Manufacturing for the Development of Critical Technologies for the Construction of DEMO and the Advancement of the Fusion Roadmap, Based on Challenges Identified During the Design and Construction of ITER.

The general objective of the ROAD2DEMO project is to investigate the development of critical technologies (processes, materials, automation, robotics, detection, repair, and recycling...) that allow for disruptive advances to overcome technological barriers identified on the path to making fusion an efficient and safe reality. 

The research carried out in the project will also enhance the already successful role of Spanish companies on this path, as well as their participation in future international Big Science facilities.

This project will also enable them to acquire knowledge and technology to tackle future projects and tenders with activities for which no Spanish company has demonstrated experience to date.
